Based on our manufacturer more than 20 years experiences, Geocell has 4 applications is used very frequently . These four scenarios are in Reinforcement of road base、in Slope Reinforcement、in Channel Protection、in Retaining Walls. If you have choosed a high quality Geocell that meets the requirements of the use, then match it with the right construction method in order to get a long service life is very important for you.

Used in Reinforcement of road base
First we need to use a machine to compact the pavement to be laid to the appropriate depth according to the engineer’s specifications.
A Geotextile is placed over the pavement that has been compacted and flattened.
Use tools to lay theGeocell flat on the pavement. Auxiliary tools are available in a variety of options depending on the actual requirements.Straight re-bar or wooden stakes can be used.
Join the panels with either Locksor the pneumatic stapler and staples. Each cell along the width and thelength must be attached at the joints.
Fill the cells with choice of infill material,After that has been accomplished, a vibratory roller is used to get the desired compaction. Typical compaction is done with a 9-ton roller.

Used in Slope Reinforcement
Adjust slopes to proper grades and level slopes with rollers as required by the Engineer.
Repeat the same steps as above.
Implanting soil or rock on slopes, which can be paired with the vegetated soil, makes the entire slope permeable and creates a stabilizing layer that protects the slope from erosion.
Used in Channel Protection
Geocell can be installed on slopes as steep as 60 degrees and on channels with flow velocities greater than 25 ft/s (7.6 m/s), depending on infill material. Angular rock is used for velocities up to 10 ft/s (3 m/s), vegetated soil up to 20 ft/s (6 m/s) and concrete for velocities greater than 20 ft/s (6 m/s).

Used in Retaining Walls
Geocell can be used to fill retaining walls of different shapes and can be easily installed on various curved surfaces after cutting according to the requirements of the project engineer. Alternatively, using the stacking method, GeoCell panels can be stacked to form 90-degree walls or stepped at each level.

These are the four most commonly used scenarios for Geocell, our company’s products have been used in many countries in different types of projects in the above way, and received positive feedback from customers, if you also need to consult about whether Geocell is allowed to be used in a certain scenario, please send an email to contact us.
